OREGON Chapter

The Oregon chapter was founded in 2022 by Ruth Nye.

This chapter is based in Hood River Oregon. We are in the process of constructing a base camp. This will give our heroes a place of sanctuary. The base camp will facilitate both a meeting room and short term sleeping quarters. Due to it's location, there are many venues of recreational opportunities such as hiking, skiing, kayaking, wind sailing and fishing. This will promote physical wellness while fostering a strong sense of community and support among participants.

Honorary Board Member

David Radcliffe was an intricate part of the Oregon Chapter. Prior to him passing, Ruth and David were making plans to utilize his sprinter van to transport veterans and first responders to Homeward's planned activities in the area free of cost. He also wanted to start using his van for supplying treks in the field as it was a 4x4. It was in the works to add him to the board of directors due to his expertise and passion for helping our heroes. Unfortunately, before this was finalized, sadly, David passed away unexpectedly. In honor of his passion for what Homeward does and the veteran and first responders we help, the board voted unanimously to make him an honorary board member posthumously. Our goal is to honor his wishes by continuing his vision and passion to help our heroes in need for many years to come.

Our Oregon chapter is still being built and is in need of sponsors of our base camp. ERS has been a big help by providing excavation equipment for the civil excavation. Tum-A-Lumber has donated all of the current lumber used. We are still in need of much more. If you are interested in assisting in any way please fill out the sponsor form so we can get in touch with you on how you can help.

Support Our Mission

As Homeward for Heroes grows, so too does our ability to support more veterans and first responders. Your donation can help expand our mission and provide the care and connection they deserve. Let's come together to honor and give back to those who have given so much for us.
